The Wales football team will play a match for the Ukrainian humanitarian appeal

The Football Association of Wales are pleased to announce that as a show of support for our Ukrainian friends, Cymru will be playing an international challenge match on Tuesday 29th March (KO 7.45pm) at Cardiff City Stadium to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee . (DEC) Humanitarian Appeal for Ukraine.

Cymru’s opponent for the match will be determined based on the result of the World Cup play-off semi-final with Austria on March 24.

If Cymru win against Austria, they will play the losing team from the Path B semi-final between Sweden and Czech Republic. If Cymru do not win against Austria, Tuesday’s opponents in Cardiff will be Scotland.

Tickets for the match will go on sale at the Red Wall from 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 18 and fans can add an optional donation to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal when purchasing their ticket.

The Cymru Men’s National Team will donate to the appeal and the DEC will also hold a bucket drive at Cardiff City Stadium. Any profit made by the FAW in organizing the match will also be donated.

18 million people are expected to be affected by the conflict and four million people are expected to be displaced, leaving behind their jobs, property and loved ones. Donations made before and during the Cymru International match will help provide food, water, shelter, healthcare and protection.
