The new Doncaster junior football team will celebrate sponsor deals with the day of the feast

The Denaby United Juniors Under 7 only launched last November but have already made great strides in the local youth football scene, linking up with a range of local businesses and getting plenty of fun and experience under their belt with a series of matches.

Coaches John Dodds, Rob Cook and Laura Watkin have spent the last few months preparing the team for the upcoming season.

John said: “Each player shows great determination and a passion to succeed with an incredible team bond.

The team has a series of new sponsors.

“Over the last few months they have played in a mini-league and some development games, and the coaches are extremely proud and therefore wanted to celebrate their success.

“Not only that, but they also wanted to say thank you to the families who show up each week, including Anne-Marie, Dawn and Bob Snodgrass and Adam Batty who help set up each week and Sam and JJ Dodds who run our cafe and soccer card.

“With the saying ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’, the coaches and family managed to secure a great sponsorship for their newly formed team to help them get started and were amazed of the answer.”

The team has five separate sponsors – Gambullz as match day sponsor including match day dugout and tracksuit, Stardust Candle Company as practice kit sponsor, IPW Building Services providing rain and woolen hats, R&D Decorating as another match day sponsor and finally Denaby McDonalds providing the football kit.

The new team has a kit provided by McDonald’s.

The company also offers “Player of the Match” vouchers for one free meal and one case of water per month for the team, while allowing coaches to hold all team meetings at the restaurant.

To celebrate, a fun day will be held on August 27 at Old Road Playgrounds.

The Dunscroft Warriors junior team will join you and on the day there will be a bouncy castle, barbecue, children’s buffet, music and an ice cream van.

The Crusty Cob Shop donated bread cakes, Prospect House Farm donated sausages and burgers and there will also be a football-themed pad from Cromwell’s Bar and
