The Belize U15 Women’s National Football Team plays a friendly match against Amigas de Chetumal today

By Ruben Morales Iglesias: The Belize Women’s Under-15 National Football Team (BGNT) plays a second match against Amigas de Chetumal today Saturday in Chetumal at La Charca Ground.

On Friday, the U15s BGNT fell in the first friendly match against Amigas.

BGNT U15 is preparing for the Central American Football Union (UNCAF) FIFA FORWARD U15 Women’s Championship to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica from June 5-11, 2022. The team will travel to Costa Rica at the end of next week.

The BGNT U15s have been training at the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) headquarters on weekends since March.

BGNT will face Guatemala, El Salvador and guests Dominican Republic in Group B at the José Joaquín ‘Coyella’ Fonseca Stadium.

Group A consisting of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, guests of Puerto Rico and Honduras, will play at the Ernesto Rohrmoser stadium.

The U15 BGNT will play their first game against Guatemala at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday June 5th.

BGNT will face El Salvador on Tuesday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m. The third match will be against the Dominican Republic on Thursday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m.

Like the FIFA U17 FORWARD UNCAF Boys Championship held here last month, all teams will play Game 4 on Saturday 11 June. The top teams in each group will play for the championship, second-place teams for third place, third-place teams for fifth place and fourth-place teams for seventh place.
