Ranked: The most expensive football stadium car park for Premier League fans

A new study revealed UK football stadiums with the the most and least affordable parking rates for fans on game day!

Watching a live football match is an experience like no other. Stand in the stands to cheer on your favorite team, surrounded by fans, fight at home or in a pub. However, when you go to these games, there is always a nibbling problem, the parking lot of the football stadium. It can be expensive or hard to find.

With that in mind, Nationwide vehicle contracts analyzed the stadium of each Championship and Premier League team to reveal the average cost of official and unofficial parking on matchday. Nationwide Vehicle Contracts experts have also shared their top tips on getting to and from sporting events, so you can be ready for your next game!

Nationwide Vehicle Contracts analyzed each team’s website to find out official-recommended parking options and costs at football stadiums. Alongside this, the community tool Footyparking.com was also used to find unofficial match day parking options within a mile of the stadium.

Using both official and unofficial parking rates, an average cost of parking at football stadiums for each Premier League stadium has been revealed!

Brighton’s Falmer Stadium has the MOST EXPENSIVE car park for Premier League fans!

At the top of the ranking with the most Dear Premier League football stadium car park, east Falmer Stadium known as the American Express Community (Amex) Stadium for sponsorship purposes. Home to Brighton & Hove Albion, fans can expect to pay an average of £15 when visiting the stadium on match day. There are two nearby car parks recommended by the stadium and two other unofficial car parks within one mile. Keep in mind that you need to reserve a place in advance before you arrive – so don’t be surprised!

In second place is the Tottenham Hotspur Stadiumwhere Spurs fans can expect to pay £12.27 for parking. The stadium does not have parking available for general admission fans, so they encourage members without parking to not drive to the stadium and consider public transportation.

Round the first three is Leicester City‘s King Power Stadium where football stadium parking on game day will set you back £10.79. Fans taking their car can pre-book parking officially on the team website for £17 per car, or more than 13 unofficial car parks can be used nearby for a minimum of £4.57.

Selhurst Park at Crystal Palace has the CHEAPEST car park for Premier League fans!

At the other end of the table is Selhurst Park, home to Crystal Palace. When visiting this stadium, it is important to be aware that there is no football stadium parking available at this site, so the club recommends finding street parking nearby. To ensure you secure a spot, allow plenty of time to park and keep in mind that some street parking is by permit only. However, if you are lucky enough to find a space or decide to use one of the nine unofficial car parks nearby, you can expect to pay on average £3.67 the day of the game.
