College football will be here before we know it.

Most teams have started wrapping up their spring training sessions, meaning fans only have to ride through the summer lull before football action resumes.

There are few ways to pass the time until September.

Fans can tune in to the recently restarted USFL, which debuted last weekend. If that doesn’t satisfy your football cravings, it’s never too early to start betting on the coming year.

That’s exactly what a New Jersey bettor did over the weekend, making his prediction for the next college football national champion.

And it’s not one team that’s in the lead when it comes to the CFP conversation.

This person placed a cool $1,000 bet on the Utah State Aggies to win the 2022 National Title. With long odds of 1000/1 or +100000, the bet would return an incredible $1 million if hit.

It’s a big if, however.

As the Aggies come off an impressive 11-3 season to clinch a top 25 finish, they will be far from championship contenders. In the previous two years, Utah State went 8-11 combined.

This bettor might have been better off hanging on to that money, but hey, anything is possible.

Last season, we saw the first five-man program reach the college football playoffs in Cincinnati. This punter hopes Utah State can do better by becoming the first national five-man champion in 2022.
