Lancing youth football team welcomes new storage facility

A FOOTBALL community may breathe a sigh of relief as they pack up safe storage, after their previous was deemed unsafe.

The 11 teams that make up Lancing FC Youth were delighted with the delivery of the new unit, as they now have a safe and sealed space to store goals, kit and equipment.

145 players will benefit from the new container at Monks Recreation Ground, a football-related community, with Brighton and Hove Albion training ground located nearby.

It was offered by Cala Homes, whose New Monks Park development is just 200 meters away.

Paul Ellis, Vice President of Lancing FC Youth, said: “We would like to thank Cala for providing us with a completely refurbished security storage unit.

“This will help support every player ensuring the whole team has access to quality kit and equipment for years to come.”

Cala donated the unit after being contacted by the club for help.

Lauren Ryan, Marketing Manager at Cala, said: “It’s important that we give back to the communities in which we build and that children of all ages have the opportunity to exercise and participate in sports.”
