Lanarkshire football team get new uniform from supermarket giant

A Lanarkshire football team has been outfitted with brand new uniforms.

The Little Dynamos will play next season in their new strips thanks to a £500 donation from the Asda Foundation through the Under 18 Better Starts grants.

The football academy has been in existence for several years and currently has over 90 members who train twice a week, including the 2010 squad who will be presenting their new kit next season.

Derek. Reid, founder of Little Dynamos, told Lanarkshire Live: “We would like to say a big thank you to Asda Toryglen for their help in purchasing new kits for our 12 year old team and to Community Champion Liz for her support. and his encouragement.

“This generous donation is a welcome financial boost at a time when we really need it. Without this support, we would really struggle to run the academy.

“Parents are all overwhelmed at the moment and this generous donation means we don’t need to ask parents to contribute.”

Asda Toryglen Community Champion Liz Arbuckle added: “Little Dynamos is an important hub in our community for young people to come together, be active and play competitive sport.

“This is my first time working with Little Dynamos and I look forward to supporting them in the future.

“I am delighted to present the club with a £500 donation from Asda’s Better Starts Under 18 Grant.

“I have heard so much praise for club founder Derek and I am delighted to be able to help this club which really deserves the support.”
