KSC lifts Sadar Hills Super Division Football League trophy – the Sangai Express

KANGPOKPI, November 29: Kuki Football Club (KSC) officially lifted the K Hangshing Memorial Sadar Hills Super Division 8th Annual K Football League Champions Trophy at the closing ceremony held today at the Brig M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The closing ceremony of the tournament organized by the Sadar Hills District Sports Association and sponsored by the family of the late K Hangshing was attended by Haokholal Hangshing, ADC Sadar Hills Interim President as the main guest while James Doujapao Haokip , MCS, Managing Director, SHADC Kangpokpi and Lunseh Kipgen, KTC Chairman, was guest of honor and functional chairman respectively.
Family members of the late K Hangshing led by Kimneo Hangshing also attended the closing ceremony, with the exception of the Kangpokpi Women’s Welfare Organization, Kangpokpi Youth Union, of the Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship and other representatives of civil society organizations.
Guest of honor Haokholal Hangshing and other dignitaries inspected the players in the closing friendly match between KSC and FC Zalen before kick-off.

The prize for the best disciplinary team was awarded to the Kangpokpi Youth Union.
League champions Kuki Sporting Club received the Champions Trophy with a cash prize of Rs 40,000 which was presented by Kimneo Hangshing, a family member of the late K Hangshing.
The finalists, FC Zalen, however, were celebrated with a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a trophy.
At the end of the tournament, the Kangpokpi Youth Union was relegated from the Super Division football league.
