College Football Today: Week 9 Updates, Highlights, Biggest Moments & More

Halloween weekend and college football week 9. What does it mean? Well that means loads of stuff and goodies everywhere we look. Michigan State rallied to beat Michigan and retained the Paul Bunyan Trophy, and Ohio State and Penn State traded blows before the Buckeyes won.

Undefeated Georgia and Oklahoma both made statements while the No. 9 Iowa and No. 10 Ole Miss both lost.

Perhaps the best treats came from Houston, where the Cougars handed SMU their first loss with a 100-yard kickoff return for the winning touchdown with 17 seconds left. The Mustangs scored on their own 100-yard kickoff return to open the second half.

Alas, there were no more hot candy takes, like Mike Leach’s utter disregard for sweet corn.

Full schedule: All the teams | Top 25

Touchdowns of the day

Lawrance Toafili just got things done for this TD.

Your best bet is to get out of the way of Christian Sims, unless you want to take a bad shot.

Officially, 100 meters. In fact, it was 105.

Rumblin ‘, bumblin’ … you can just hear Chris Berman’s voice in your head, right?

Spartan evening!

You really can’t leave Kenneth Walker III with just any coin. He ended up finishing with five touchdowns, and yes, he’s something special to watch.

Michigan State improved to 8-0 this season with a 37-33 victory over Michigan, and that interception sealed the deal.

So after the game the Spartans rightly celebrated and called out to people.

Above all, MSU was able to keep the Paul Bunyan Trophy.

To learn more about Walker’s performance, check out this.

Stack?

It looks like the Ohio State squad were prepared for Michigan’s loss. How else to explain the perfection when the group took the field at half-time in Saturday night’s game against Penn State?

Ejections in K-State-TCU

Things turned sour between TCU and K-State, and three players, one on TCU and two on K-State, were kicked out.

Irish jamming

Jack Coan: Double Threat Quarterback? The Wisconsin transfer hadn’t recorded a 20-yard run since 2019, but scrambled 21 yards for a touchdown in the Irishman’s game against North Carolina.

Charity please

Look who joined the party.

A display of San Jose state gourd-geous.

Virginia receivers coach Marques Hagans and family win Halloween.

Please. Never give Mike Leach sweet corn.

In case you want to know what treats to hand out at CCA, well, let’s go.

And these are just treats for Nick Saban on his birthday.

Stage in the stands

The shoe is scarlet red for OSU-Penn State.

There are a lot of fans in costumes today, and they’re all amazing. And you can never go wrong with a classic.

Honestly, this pairing makes sense.

Proceed with caution in the Baylor stands today.

Everything is fun and games

It might not have looked like sheer chaos on the pitch, but the line said it was.

We like a good reference to “Succession”.

Not kidding with Wisconsin?

Tulane, keep doing your thing and pulling out the pearls.

And while we’re on Tulane, we love to see the offensive linemen completely take care of it.

Well, that just happened in the MAC with the dismissal of the Bowling Green coach.

Who weighs?

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t too happy with the way Cal honors Jeff Tedford.

GameDay antics

Very important video here.

And when it comes to the treats, who wouldn’t want to be in the crowd when the cake is tossed?

We would really like to be Ken Jeong’s best friends.

Mascot registration

Someone tells us more about the Pirate. We must know all that is possible.

Laughing at each other healthily before Penn State-Ohio State.

Best sons

Orange bursts well.

Michigan State goes green against Michigan.

Penn State has some cool new kicks thanks to the one and only Saquon Barkley.

More to see

Tank Bigsby can climb very high!

Arch Manning continues to visit, and he’s in Clemson this weekend.

Sneaky, sneaky.

I can’t give Caleb Williams that much time to find an open receiver.

Williams is in good company with these two former Oklahoma QBs.

Now that’s really sneaky.

Anytime your name is mentioned in the same sentence as Dan Marino, it sure is a good thing.

Halloween weekend sleight of hand! It’s everything we wanted and more.

That’s what it means to go all out.

Now, This is a trap!

Michigan’s 93-yard score is a thing of the past.

Honestly, it must be hard to stop when you have so much momentum behind you.

How about a few more emojis? Because Malik Willis deserves them all.

This is the best use of a megaphone we’ve seen.
