Srinagar, December 1: Three matches have been played today in the 2021 NIFF Youth Football League at the synthetic turf soccer stadium here.
The League opener started with the clash between SSFA Srinagar and Sopore FA which ended in a goalless draw.
Sopore FA’s Ibrahim Imran was named player of the match while Tanushree, SP North honored the occasion as the main guest.
The second match of the day was played between Jammu & Kashmir FA v Baramulla FA which was won by J & K Bank FA 2-0.
J & K Bank FA’s Yawar Ali was named “Player of the Match” for his outstanding performance, while Mir Sarwar, a famous actor, was the main guest in the second match.
The last meeting of the day was between FC Ganderbal and DP Dhar FA. The game was a do or die for FC Ganderbal, but it ended in a goalless draw. The “player of the match” went to Aqib Mushtaq of FC Ganderbal.
It should be noted here that the League is the first such initiative taken by NIFF to provide a broad platform for players in the junior age group. The Man of the Match awards both carry Rs1500 in cash and a souvenir sponsored by New JK Roadways.
The Youth Football League is organized by NIFF J&K in conjunction with J&K Sports Council and is sponsored by New JK Roadways, JK Stories, Color Curve and Frisk Film Production as League broadcasters, IYImpex as hydration partners, Tan Star Sports and the Ministry of Health. J&K.
